Description 

create table foos (id integer primary key, in-valid text);
insert into foos (in-valid) values ('bar');

class Foo < ActiveRecord::Base
end
Foo.find(1).id   # raises error trying to generate method for in-valid

ActiveRecord::Base.generate_read_methods = false
class Foo < ActiveRecord::Base
end
Foo.find(1).id   # no error raised
